        According to historical resources, Solon from Athens adviced Aepian King Philokypros to build a city near the river Ksero-because of economical reasons-and the city was named as “Soli” after Solon. Although the Soli city which was invaded by Persians in 498 B.C. expanded during the Roman and early Byzantium times, it was ruined by Arab invazions. The buildings which are open to visiting are The Theatre Basilica and Agora.
