It is estimated that the antique Engomi city which is near the Engomi Village of  today and known as  “Alasia” was built between 2000-1050 B.C. ıt was seen in the archeological excavations that the city was initially under the influence of Egyptians. Then, after getting under the influence of “Mykens”, houses containing rooms built from cut stone near the monumental city, where corpses were buried together with rich presents, were built. Moreover, it is understood from the findings that the first writing was found here and the first plan for grid-irons was applied here. It is deduced that there were inclusive mining works in the city.
