AIRWAYS

The transportation of the T.R.N.C. by airways is done by Turkish Airlines (THY), Cyprus Turkish Airlines (KTHY). Besides, voyages from many European cities are done via Turkey. Charter voyages are organized by main tour operators in order to contribute to the tourism of the T.R.N.C. there are two state airports, Ercan and Gecitkale, in the T.R.N.C. throughout the year, Ercan Airport is in service of planes and passengers.during the maintenance of this airport, Gecitkale Airport is used to serve the passengers. The distance from Ercan State Airport to the capital city,Nicosia (Lefkosa), is 24 km. Voyages are rearranged twice a year; in summer and in winter.

SEA-WAYS

Sea-way voyages between Turkey and the T.R.N.C. are between Mersin-Tasucu, Alanya in Turkey and Famagusta (Gazimagusa), and Kyrenia (Girne) in Cyprus. Speed ferryboats and ferrybuses are, as well, used for transportation.

DOMESTIC TRANSPORTATION

Domestic transportation in the T.R.N.C. is done through highways. In airports and seaports, taxis and service cars of related companies are continuously available. There are also regular bus, taxi, and minibus voyages intercities. In main cities , there are rent-a-car agencies and taxi offices in service of tourists, as well.
